Tanzania Compass exists because most travel information about this country is either outdated, or written by someone trying to sell you a package. We're building the guide we wished existed before our own trips — plain facts, real prices, and honest structure, with no pressure to book anything through us.

This site may earn a commission when you book through certain links, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence how we rank or describe a listing — our promise is that the facts come first, and any paid placement is always clearly labelled as such.

We collect very little personal information, and only what's needed to run this site:
Newsletter signup: if you subscribe, your email address is stored with Mailchimp, our email service provider, so we can send you occasional updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
WhatsApp contact: if you message us via the WhatsApp button, your phone number and message are handled through WhatsApp/Meta's platform, not stored on our own servers.
We do not sell or share your information with third parties for advertising purposes.
